Biography
SUMMARY:
I'm completing my PhD studies in infrastructure monitoring, after which I will begin working as an Associate Consultant at McKinsey & Company.
My research in infrastructure monitoring is on the interface of multiple engineering disciplines. The main objective is to provide stakeholders with better means to maintain structures and increase their safety. Towards this end, sensing technologies and "smart" controls are necessary which required me to broaden my knowledge very quickly in diverse fields as well as lead multiple projects in which these methods are being put into action. These projects include wireless monitoring of:
U.S. Coast Guard vessels in high seas
Union Pacific railroad bridges in multi-hazard environments
Subsurface distributed pavement damage detection for Federal Aviation Administration
In-lab development of novel sensing techniques and sensors
